Someone not named Will writes that baseball is inherently conservative thus rendering my working thesis "Conservatives are Inherently Baseballs" moot. Makes sense considering the unbelievably powerful union, employment of immigrants, sacrifice flies and the profit sharing. But we gotta get rid of the "suicide squeeze", totally sounds gay. Oh, and who needs umps, the market will decide. Hands off, Ken Burns.

A day in the life of the president reveals that Barack Obama’s job would be almost unrecognizable to most of his predecessors—thanks to the enormous bureaucracy, congressional paralysis, systemic corruption (with lobbyists spending $3.5 billion last year), and disintegrating media.

I don't know much about sports. Even less about football, but occasionally I get wrangled into playing in a Fantasy Football league. Yesterday was the draft...so how did I do?

It's a 10 person, PPR league. (which soon I discovered meant points per reception) Starters can be: QB, 2RB, 2WR, Flex WR/RB, Tight End, Kicker, and defense.

starters:
Brett Farve (mostly so i have someone to watch)
Jamal Charles
LeSean McCoy
Andre Johnson
Randy Moss
Hines Ward
Kellen Winslow
Rob Bironas
Eagles

Bench:
Justin Forsett
TJ Houshmazada
Steve Breaston
Brandon Jacobs
Darren McFadden
Lee Evans
Devery Henderson

I'm Still Here is a striking portrayal of a tumultuous year in the life of internationally acclaimed actor Joaquin Phoenix. The film follows the Oscar-nominee as he announces his retirement from a successful film career in the fall of 2008 and sets off to reinvent himself as a hip hop musician. Sometimes funny, sometimes shocking, and always riveting, the film is a portrait of an artist at a crossroads.
