The Bad Side Of Kicking a Kid In The Face

Submitted Friday, October 15, 2010 by TheHumanMan | Category: Politics
An attack ad against the current mayor of Winnipeg showing him kicking a kid in the face. You would think that would be my favo(u)rite part, but no. That would be when the narrator says, "Not a heck of a lot".

Who wags the dog?

Submitted Wednesday, October 06, 2010 by diner | Category: Politics
This is an interesting narrative on what happened to how we're in this place and it feels mostly correct to me . . . My problem today is, are the issues issues because the media focuses on them or because the president focuses on them?

Interesting article about how Obama spends his day

Submitted Thursday, September 02, 2010 by adam | Category: Politics
A day in the life of the president reveals that Barack Obama’s job would be almost unrecognizable to most of his predecessors—thanks to the enormous bureaucracy, congressional paralysis, systemic corruption (with lobbyists spending $3.5 billion last year), and disintegrating media.

Tea Party: Even a caveman can do it

Submitted Wednesday, April 21, 2010 by Drunk Bastard | Category: Politics
Apparently the voice over guy from the Geico commercials left an insulting voice mail for the Freedom Works group. They in turn decided to publish his phone number on their website and encouraged tea patriots to call him. The resulting brouhaha prompted Geico to fire the guy. So he did this. Watch and enjoy.

5 key ‘moral triggers’ polarize politics

Submitted Wednesday, April 14, 2010 by teach | Category: Politics
Before they even get to the issues, liberals and conservatives are already starting off on the wrong foot for bipartisan agreement. Fundamental differences in morals and personality, paired with emotion-driven logic lead to a basic disconnect between the political bents.

Thoughts from a Democratic Senate Staffer

Submitted Thursday, January 21, 2010 by adam | Category: Politics
"I believe President Clinton provided some crucial insight when he said, "people would rather be with someone who is strong and wrong than weak and right." It's not that people are uninterested in who's right or wrong, it's that people will only follow leaders who seem to actually believe in what they are doing. Democrats have missed this essential fact."

All 193% of Republicans Support Palin, Romney and Huckabee

Submitted Tuesday, November 24, 2009 by adam | Category: Politics
"What happens when enterprising Americans watch Fox News and use Twitter simultaneously? Constant hilarity, that is what, as you can see from this fun “info-graphic” on the Fox News, which explains how Sarah Palin’s supposedly strong 70% support from GOP idiots is still no match for Huckabee’s 63% support, or Romney’s 60%. What?"
